A three-card example

This fixed example shows The Fool upright, The Hermit reversed and The Star upright, in draw order. It is an illustration, not your personal result.

  1. The Fool1. The Fool

    Upright

The Fool represents a fresh start, openness, freedom, and the courage to step into the unknown. It suggests a moment when you may be ready to explore a new path, trust your instincts, and move forward with curiosity rather than fear.

  2. The Hermit2. The Hermit

    Reversed

Reversed, the Hermit points to isolation, fear, excessive caution, secrecy, or withdrawing for the wrong reasons. It can suggest hiding from the world instead of gaining real clarity.

  3. The Star3. The Star

    Upright

The Star represents hope, healing, renewal, and the possibility of brighter prospects after difficulty. It suggests reconnecting with faith, openness, and a calmer vision for the future.

Together they offer prompts about beginning, reconnecting and hope. Their numbers do not mean past, present and future unless you deliberately choose that spread.

Randomness, deck and reversals

The tool uses the Rider–Waite–Smith deck. Your browser shuffles all 78 cards, or the 22 Major Arcana, using secure random numbers. Each round fixes the order and orientations before selection, and never draws the same card twice. Reversals are enabled by default with a 30% chance per card, matching FlipTarot’s draw setting; this is a product choice, not a universal tarot rule. With reversals off, every card is upright.

Free drawing, optional AI interpretation

Drawing and static card meanings are free, require no account, use no AI model and consume no reading allowance. AI continuation supports 1, 3, 7 and 10 cards through existing spreads. The reading page applies the usual login, free allowance and credit rules, with any required fee confirmation before generation. Other counts remain available for free drawing and learning.

Privacy

A basic draw stays in this page’s memory. Selected cards are not saved or sent for interpretation, and do not appear in URLs or analytics events. Refreshing or leaving the page clears the draw. Only if you choose AI continuation is a question-and-card draft saved as a browser draft valid for 30 minutes so the reading page can restore it; editing the reading renews its validity. Generating a reading then follows the site’s account and privacy rules; private results remain excluded from search indexing.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the daily one-card reading?

No. This is a virtual deck you can use whenever you want, without a daily limit or a required question. Daily reading remains a separate feature.

Can I draw two cards or more than three?

Yes. Every whole number from 1 to 10 is supported, including 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9. Each round contains distinct cards.

Does a reversed card always mean something bad?

No. Reversals can suggest blocked, inward or excessive energy. The tool shows the matching reversed meaning, while context and any chosen spread still matter.
