Cups · Minor Arcana
Core Meaning
The heart moves forward through emotion, beauty, and sincere pursuit.
The Knight of Cups represents romance, imagination, charm, emotional pursuit, and acting from the heart. It suggests moving toward a person, idea, or goal with feeling and idealism while staying attentive to what is realistic.
Reversed, the Knight of Cups can point to unrealistic expectations, moodiness, mixed signals, disappointment, or charm that is not matched by consistency. It may suggest checking whether emotion and imagination are carrying more weight than reality.
